Custom texture placement in Piper 3D
- First, you need a shadow-free, front-facing, homogeneous image** that should be selected from the internet with these criteria in mind.
- After saving the image, use an image editor to crop a section that, when placed side by side, will create a continuously repeating pattern (in the example, the midpoint of the buttons).
- Resize the image in both width and height. Setting it to 8000px will make the pattern repeat approximately every 80 cm in the design. This can also be adjusted in PipShow using the layout sliders in both dimensions.
- Save the file and copy it to the Piper3D > Data > texturak folder.
- For the arrangement, select the colour block from Accessories 1, Basic Shapes, and insert it into the plan with the appropriate dimensions. Right-click on one of the colors in the additional colors section to open the color settings window, where you can locate the saved image. Click the modify button to display the selected texture.
