From database version 3.8, we can easily assemble a simple staircase made of wooden planks using Attachments.
Operation of the staircase system
The staircase system is located in the Accessories 1 / Basic Shapes group.
- The image shows the five different elements from which we can build a staircase.
- After placing a stair, the next element can be attached to it.
- It is advisable to turn on the Forward switch, so we can attach the stairs one after the other without having to select the newly placed element in the room each time.
- After placing a starting step, we can continue building with elements through attachments. Horizontal elements can be attached to vertical elements, and vice versa.
Stairs following size system values
The stair v, stair h, and stair turn elements can be adjusted with size system values, which are brought out into the arranger.
Extracted dimensions:
- stair vert. elem: The height of the vertical element.
- stair horiz. elem: The depth of the horizontal element.
- stair width: The width of the elements.
- stair material thickness: The thickness of the elements.
These values can be adjusted even after the stairs are completed, and the elements will reload with the new values.
Manually adjustable stairs
The stair v manual and stair h manual elements can be freely resized after placement.
The elements need to be resized individually after placement, as the attached elements do not follow size changes.
The completed stairs can be moved by selecting the first placed element, and there is no need to select each element of the stairs.
To delete the entire staircase, select and delete the first element.
