In the designer, it is possible to "project" a uniform pattern onto the fronts.
The essence of applying a continuous pattern on fronts is to place the chosen pattern onto a special object, from which the image will then project onto the fronts.
1. Arrange the room using traditional methods.
2. Select a suitable front for the continuous pattern in the properties.
From the general group:
- Front chipboard F-pattern
- Front chipboard V-pattern
- Front foil F-pattern
- Front foil V-pattern
From the Csercsics group:
- Csercsics14-Plexis F pattern
- Csercsics14-Plexis V pattern
The F and V refer to the vertical or horizontal grain of the base color.
3. Insert the Continuous pattern base element from the Accessories 1/Miscellaneous group in front of the furniture.
The image will only be applied to the fronts that fall within the projection of the carrier object. The images will always stretch to fit the carrier object, and the desired size and ratio should be adjusted by changing the dimensions of the object.
4. Select the desired pattern from the Accessory colors selection interface. Custom patterns can also be applied based on the same method.
- The applied image can have transparent areas, and the image itself can be semi-transparent.
- In this case, a PNG format file should be used.
- Transparency can only be set with an image editing program.
- The second front color selection can be used to set whether the applied image is matte or high-gloss. This is independent of the base color of the furniture front. If the base color is high-gloss and the pattern is transparent, the pattern should be set to matte; otherwise, it will reflect unrealistically. For non-transparent patterns, set the second front color to high-gloss if a glossy finish is desired.
- In this case, a PNG format file should be used.
5. The image projects onto the furniture by clicking the refresh icon indicated by the arrow.
6. Hide the carrier object:
Push it behind the wall, as its depth position does not matter for the projection.
Or turn off its visibility in the view settings. Note that this must be redone each time the saved room is reloaded, as visibility is not saved with the room.
Additional important information
- The image will stretch on the carrier object but will continue at the edges if the front extends beyond it.
- Multiple different patterns can be used within a room, but only one pattern per front.
- The carrier object must belong to the same wall as the furniture onto which the image is to be projected.
- For a continuous pattern, such as a flowing wood grain, it is advisable to copy the carrier object of the same size next to or above each other.
- This function also works on corpus-colored and glass wall decorations.
