If you check the QR code box in label printing, you can specify what should be included in the QR code on the board optimization settings page.
First, use the switches to set what you want the QR code to contain.
Separator character(s): Here you can enter the characters to be used between the selected data in the text box.
-
Note that a space (spacebar) also counts as a character!
Content Size (1-40): This refers to the version of the QR codes and determines how much data the code can store. The number can range from 1 to 40, which are the standard sizes or versions of QR codes.
- The default value of 10 will most likely be sufficient in most cases unless the data consists of a large number of characters.
- If you want to store a lot of data in the QR code, a larger content size is necessary. In this case, it might also be necessary to increase the printed size of the QR code so that the scanner can read it.
Format: Here you can define the size and position of the QR code on the label.
-
Size (mm): This refers to the length of one side of the QR code. The code is always square, so all sides will be the same length.
-
Position X (mm): This determines how far the QR code will be from the left edge of the label.
- Position Y (mm): This determines how far the QR code will be from the top edge of the label.
Pressing the button updates the QR code size and position settings in the label preview.
-
The content of the QR code will not change in the label preview. Scanning it from there will always show the same content.
You can finalize the changes by pressing the Modify button.
Limitations
Currently, the QR code cannot display the Hungarian characters "ő" and "ű." If any data contains these characters, an "invalid" message will appear in place of the QR code.
