Workshop drawing - Dimension lines

New dimension lines can be added to our workshop drawing to display any required dimensions.

After saving the dimension lines, the furniture will always appear on the workshop drawing with the dimension lines added here, even in other plans.

Assigning dimension lines to drawings

1. First, select the type of dimension line from the icons. Multiple types can be selected simultaneously. These appear on the drawing in color immediately.
   
   
2. Then press the Apply button, which assigns the dimension lines to the drawing. They appear in the list with their values, turn black on the drawing, and stay there.
   
   
3. Finally, you can arrange the fixed dimension lines.
   
   

We can create three different types of dimension lines.

Bounding box dimension lines

In the top icon row, we find the bounding box dimensions (corpus dimensions). First, check the necessary dimension line icons, then press the Apply button.

Dimension lines for a selected point

This row allows us to select dimensions for a single chosen point. These are essentially the selected point's positions, i.e., distances from the coordinate planes and the bounding box edges. First, turn on the leftmost icon, then select any corner point on the drawing, around which a small red dot will appear. Then check the necessary dimension line icons and press the Apply button.

Showing dimension lines between two selected points

In the bottom row, we can select the dimensions for two chosen points. Here we can display the distance between any two selected corner points and their projections onto the coordinate planes. The process is similar to the previous one. First, turn on the leftmost double-dot icon, then select any two corner points on the drawing. Then check the necessary dimension line icons and press the Apply button. Turning the double-dot icons back off makes the red dots disappear.

IMPORTANT!
The dimension line for the projections of two spatial points can give different results if represented in axonometry or plan view! Always set the geometric view first, then the dimension lines!

Note! If you switch from axonometry to plan view, or vice versa, after locking, you may get incorrect values!

Arranging dimension lines

The fixed dimension lines can be selected in the list and moved with the arrow icons by the value between the arrows. Holding the Shift key multiplies the value by ten, while the Ctrl key divides it by ten. The delete icons allow you to delete dimension lines individually or all at once.

Turning on the outer dimension line icon allows you to flip the dimension lines of close points outward.
