Every base element can be categorized into two types regarding appearance: front or corpus.
- If it is a corpus type, the base element will appear in the form and size defined during the base element definitions, including corner trims and edge solutions. Here, we can only set or change its color if necessary. When a base element is imported, it automatically takes the defined color assigned to it.
- If it is a front type, it will take on a pattern defined in the front editor.
Settings for front type
For front type, there are significantly more settings available.
- It can be selected which subtype of a given front should appear (e.g., normal, drawer, glass, etc.). Each of the 6 basic types in the upper row can be chosen from the 6 elements in the lower row (36 possible variations).
- For asymmetrical front patterns, the Pattern direction can be set separately for horizontal and vertical.
- Each value can also be automatic, which means that the pattern direction is determined by the right-left orientation of the cabinet.
- Attention! It is not the door orientation because, for example, with a two-door right-left cabinet, we cannot use automatic. In such cases, it must be specified for each door that one is right and the other is left patterned.
- The opening mode of the front can be set: non-opening, swinging, folding, pull-out, sliding, shutter. For swinging and folding doors, the opening direction is determined by the handle position.
Determining the handle positions:
- It must be determined to which specific point on the front surface the handle should align (corners, midpoints).
- For elongated handles, it can be set to be horizontal or vertical, for asymmetrical handles, to be right or left.
- The double toggle allows the handle to be symmetrically duplicated horizontally.
- The handle position can be modified with direct values horizontally and vertically.
- With the absolute toggle, the handle positions can be set completely independently of the previously assigned positions to the front and handle.
It can be set which of the 4 styles selectable in the properties the front should take, or a fixed pattern selectable here.
- In the first 4 cases, the selected front pattern will be applied to the given front during furnishing.
- For a fixed pattern, a pattern of the "other" type created in the front editor program can be selected here. In the program, every non-corpus type object is displayed with a front pattern.
- If you want to create a machine, accessory item, etc., you can assign a pattern prepared in the front designer part to a "neutral," completely filling the bounding form base element (other group). A detailed description can be read by clicking here on how to save a front file as furniture.
-
This icon makes the bounding form the size defined in the front editor.
- All changes must be saved with the Modify button at the bottom.
