I don't see certain elements in the manufacturing preparation.
It can happen that certain elements do not appear in the Manufacturing preparation, and there can be several reasons for this.
- It is important for every element that is to appear in the Manufacturing preparation to have a basic element that has material assigned to it.
- If it is a basic element with a fictitious material, it is crucial that there is a specific material assigned to it in the change of material.
Note! Most supplementary elements are assigned to the same neutral basic element, so they will only appear in the Manufacturing preparation after a non-visible basic element is assigned.
You can navigate the possibilities more easily using the following links:
1. I can't find the complete cabinet in the Manufacturing preparation
2. The cabinet appears, but certain element(s) are missing from the list
3. The edge banding does not appear correctly
1. I can't find the complete cabinet in the Manufacturing preparation.
It is likely that the cabinet itself is not marked to appear in manufacturing. This can be done in two ways:
- In the Cabinet database / Identification tab, we need to check the To production switch. From this point on, every time we arrange the cabinet, it will appear in the Manufacturing preparation.
- In the editor, we select the arranged cabinet and check the To production switch on the right side under the properties icon. This will only apply to the selected cabinet in the room.
Only elements that have material assigned to them will appear. If the cabinet still does not appear in the Manufacturing preparation after this, it is likely that none of its basic elements have material. In the next section, we will show where this can be checked.
2. Certain elements of the cabinet are not found in the editor.
If the cabinet itself appears in the list and only certain elements are not visible, the issue is likely with the materials or type filtering.
- First, we need to check on the Manufacturing preparation material change page to ensure that there is a selection set for every material in the room. If, for example, the None option is selected for the cabinet material change, it means that those elements will not have material and, therefore, will not appear, such as side panels, bottom panels, etc.
- If we are unsure which material is assigned to the basic element we want to display, we can check/set this on the Basic elements page. Under the column for part elements, we can select the material for the chosen element. Clicking on the darker field allows us to choose the material, with the material group displayed in the top row and the material type in the bottom row.
- If a fictitious material is assigned to the basic element, we must replace it with a specific material in the change of material. If we assign a specific material to the basic element right away, it will appear in manufacturing without further settings, but we will not be able to dynamically change its material in this case.
- If a fictitious material is assigned to the basic element, we must replace it with a specific material in the change of material. If we assign a specific material to the basic element right away, it will appear in manufacturing without further settings, but we will not be able to dynamically change its material in this case.
- If we know the material of the basic element, we should check in the change of material whether a replacement is defined for this fictitious material. If we created this basic element and/or fictitious material, this is likely the solution.
- If the element has a specific material, then check in the element list settings to see if the material type is selected in type filtering to appear on the element list.
- In the material summary, only those elements will appear whose specific material's basic component group is assigned to a material summary group in the settings.
- Under the list group table, we can also toggle certain types on or off to show in the material summary.
- Under the list group table, we can also toggle certain types on or off to show in the material summary.
- If everything is set correctly, the cabinet appears in manufacturing, the basic element has material, and the fictitious material is replaced in the change of material, but there are still elements that do not appear correctly or do not appear at all, it is likely that the same fictitious material is replaced in multiple changes of material.
Unfortunately, there is no good method to determine this; we need to remember which changes of material we created and review them.
3. Edge banding does not appear or does not appear correctly.
- If nothing appears in the Edge Banding column for an element that should have edge banding, it means that the edge banding is not set correctly. The edge banding settings are covered in more detail on the knowledge base's edge banding settings page.
- If the edge banding indication appears correctly in the Edge Banding column but does not count in the material summary and does not appear in the Edge1 and Edge2 columns, then the problem is also with the material.
- First, check the change of material page to see if the correct edge banding material is selected.
- First, check the change of material page to see if the correct edge banding material is selected.
- If it is, and the edge banding still does not appear correctly in manufacturing, then we need to check in the basic elements edge banding section to see if a material is set for the edge banding. The material can be selected by clicking on the darker field.
- If the edge banding has fictitious material, we need to check in the change of material whether a replacement is set for this material.
- If everything seems to be set correctly, it could still be the case that the same fictitious material is defined in multiple changes of material.
