The prices set for the colours do not appear in the Manufacturing preparation. Why are certain colors blue in production?
If a color appears blue in the Manufacturing preparation, it means that the production does not find the color code for the color in the Basic components. The program will only search for the color price for materials set to automatic colour tracking.
Several things can cause this:
- An incorrect material is selected in the Change of material. The color must be set to the same material type in the raw materials as selected in the material replacement. For example, if a Falco color is selected for the carcass, then the Falco chipboard must be selected in the furniture material replacement, because only the Falco chipboard has the Falco colours recorded in the raw materials.
- The colour is not recorded among the specific materials of the selected material. The colour must be listed among the specific materials for the selected material. It may happen that we use a Falco color and the Falco chipboard is set, but Piper still cannot find the price. In this case, check whether the color is listed among the specific materials of the selected Falco chipboard in the raw materials.
- No colour code is set in the raw materials or the colour editor. If the set colour is listed among the specific materials of the selected material and still cannot be found, it is likely that the color code is not set either in the raw materials or in the color editor. Manufacturing preparation searches for the colour and its price based on the colour code. More information on setting the color code can be found here.
