I can't attach anything to a newly created appliance cabinet; no attachments are appearing.
This is because attachments are set for existing furniture in the furniture database. When creating a piece of furniture in the automatic furniture designer, it doesn't have these settings in the database yet.
The simplest solution is to copy the attachments from a similar piece of furniture in the furniture database. The only thing to watch for with appliances is the level index. If, for example, Piper attaches the appliance to a front in the designer, the level index needs to be adjusted on the attachments page of the furniture database. The level index indicates between which fitting planes the selected element is attached, usually corresponding to the division of fronts. The number of fronts on the furniture vertically corresponds to the number of "fitting planes" on the furniture.
