How can we modify the shelf position in a combined cabinet to change the height of the open section?
These cabinets (F- and FM-) are designed so that the fixed shelf starts at 148 mm from the bottom of the furniture, leaving a free space of 130 mm, assuming an 18 mm thick carcass.
Opening a copy of the furniture in the cabinet editor, we change the fixed value of the middle Z alignment plane to a size we prefer.
This is a simpler solution if we rarely need to make such cabinet, but remember to add the thickness of the bottom panel to ensure the open section is the correct size.
A much better solution for adjusting the free space is to create our own size link, which we can quickly change by right-clicking on the cabinet.
In this case, set the fixed size of the alignment plane to 0, and add the already created size to the dynamic sizes by clicking on the empty blue row in the new window that pops up. After entering the ID, select the size and click OK.
Always save changes by clicking the icon in the upper left corner!
You can add the size link in the cabinet database by selecting the cabinet and going to the size system links tab, similarly in the pop-up window.
