How will the Manufacturing preparation "see" the price of the colour during automatic colour tracking?
The Manufacturing preparation module finds the price of the colors during automatic colour tracking based on the colour code. The color itself, which is set in the properties, is taken from the Colour designer in the plan by the program, and in manufacturing, it will be searched for among the Basic components, within the specific materials.
For example, in cabinet materials, the colors of different manufacturers' particle boards are set as specific materials by the manufacturers. The program will search among these specific materials for a match with the set colour if automatic color tracking is enabled for the raw material group and in material change for the given material. Whether a material uses automatic colour tracking can be set in the raw material groups with the direct selection switch.
This match will be searched for by manufacturing not in the material/colour name but based on the colour code.

On the left side, you can see the location of the color code in the specific materials, while on the right side, it's visible in the colour editor. |
In the raw materials section, multiple colour codes can be assigned to a single material/color.
If you are adding a new colour in the colour editor that you want to price in the manufacturing preparation, assign any preferred colour code in the color editor. Then, add the colour to the raw materials, associating it with the material where you want to use it (e.g., typically adding Egger colours to Egger particle boards). Assign the same colour code that you provided in the colour editor for this colour. The name of the colour in both the raw materials and the colour editor can be anything, and these names will appear in the manufacturing process and in the properties.
