Structure and basic logic of the drawer system
Drawer interiors can be selected on the properties corpus side. Here, the drawer interiors will appear with the names specified in the default settings. Each drawer interior has its own basic element group, which must be entered in the default settings under the name of the drawer interior.
Within the basic element group, you define the drawer interiors. You need to add all possible sizes individually to the list of basic elements and then define the parts and their sizes, materials within the sub-elements for each size.
The image shows the sub-elements of a Tandembox Antaro 500mm drawer. We can see that all the elements contained in the drawer are listed separately. Additionally, we can see that all sizes included in this system are listed in the basic element list, both in depth and height. |
The size filter and the size of the drawer box space will determine which drawer interior goes into the cabinet. The program automatically replaces the otherwise invisible drawer box space basic element with the drawer from the selected drawer solution. This basic element is found in every drawer cabinet behind the drawer front. If no drawer box is found in that size, the space behind the drawer front will be empty.

Three different sized Tandembox drawers in the basic element list. At the bottom, we see the size filter settings for different sizes. We see that size filters are set in all three dimensions. The image shows only drawers with different depths, but the height size filter is also important, as different sizes are defined for the "K" sizes. This size looks at the size of the drawer box space on the left. |
Displaying drawer sides in the arranger
First, the drawer sides must be edited in the object editor so that the left side is on the "normal front" style, and the right side is on the "1st normal front size variation".
Each color of drawer sides must be saved separately so they can be selected later in the material replacement. In the raw materials, create a material in the fixed drawer patterns group with the same name as the saved object.

This pattern will later be assigned to the drawer side basic element through material replacement. The fictional material assigned to the drawer side basic element will be replaced with this fixed drawer pattern, allowing multiple colors to be assigned to the side.
On the Creating a drawer system page, we show how to create a new system through an example.
