If you use an existing drawer system with different values, it is advisable to modify the existing system rather than creating a new one.
To create a drawer system, it is essential to understand the operation of drawer systems.
The process of creating a drawer system in brief:
- We need to decide how many basic elements will belong to our drawer. A bottom panel and a back panel will definitely be necessary since we want to see these on the cutting list. Beyond that, only the materials we want to display or price are required.
- A basic element group is needed.
- Within the group, we need to create all the sizes related to the system (or just the ones we want to use).
- Next, we need to create the size filters for each basic element.
Note! It’s important to set the size filters accurately, otherwise the internal parts of the drawer might “fall apart” when placing the furniture, if the program attempts to insert more than necessary.
- We need to define the sub-elements for all sizes. It’s advisable to copy sub-elements from already existing drawer systems and modify them accordingly.
- Once we are done with the system, we need to configure it in the Basic settings so we can select it later in the carcass properties.
