The pricing system in Piper
The program uses two pricing systems: the list price and the manufacturing price.
The list price system
The list price is primarily the sales price assigned to the cabinets, which consists of:
- two price categories,
- and one component without a price category,
- with size tracking if necessary,
- as well as a fixed price independent of the size tracking.
- As a fifth component, you can also select the price calculated during manufacturing.
- In the case of dynamic size tracking (linear meter, m², m³), the unit of measurement for the element automatically becomes:
- m,
- m²,
- or m³,
- The entered price is the unit price,
- and the price will be the product of the size and the unit price.
- m,
- If the manufacturing calculation is enabled or a value is set for the fixed price, the unit of measurement for the element will be pcs. even if the other components have size tracking! These settings can be found on the Cabinet database / Prices page.
The manufacturing price system
- The manufacturing price is based on the unit prices of materials and fronts and calculates the material cost of the cabinet based on the sizes and quantities. You can also include the labor cost, which can be multiplied by the material quantity.
- These settings can be adjusted on the Basic components and Size table page.
- These settings can be adjusted on the Basic components and Size table page.
- Prices can be modified in several places using multipliers or fixed values.
- The multipliers associated with the basic components are material-dependent, meaning different values can be assigned to each material type.
- The fixed value is added to the price for every element of every cabinet. These can be set on the Basic components page under material types.
- The other multipliers are generally applicable and can be set on the Basic information / Basic settings page.
- The fixed value between manufacturing and the list price is added to the price for each cabinet.
- The multiplier before the list price depends on the cabinet type.
- Here, six different values can be set.
- Each cabinet can individually select which of the six multipliers it uses.
- Here, six different values can be set.
-
- This can be done in the list price settings on the Cabinet database / Prices page.
On the basic data/settings page, it can be set whether the prices entered into the system are net or gross values and whether the value displayed on the main screen is net or gross.
During setup, the program continuously shows the current total list price of the elements placed so far or the list price of the currently selected elements.
