A group has two properties besides its name: Fictional, Direct Selection.
Fictional
An material is fundamentally fictional or real. Base elements are always composed of fictional materials, which are replaced with real materials during furnishing. These materials can be specified in Change of material to determine which specific material they should be replaced with.
- If this switch is checked, the selected group will only contain fictional materials.
Direct selection
Materials for base elements are defined not with specific materials but with material types. In groups containing fictional materials, there are no specific materials. During furnishing, fictional material types are replaced with real material types. The choice of which specific element of the real material type should be in the furniture can be determined in two ways:
- If materials have colors, the choice is automatic based on the color code.
- If materials do not have colors, this must be directly selected in material exchange settings.
- If this switch is not enabled, colors determine the selection for all members of the group; otherwise, direct selection is used.
Selected items can be sorted, deleted, modified, and expanded.
