Bathroom database
Built-in and countertop sink cabinets, design elements, mirrors, and accessories for bathroom furnishing.
The catalog is located in the Bathroom group in the main group selector.
Using the bathroom database is essentially no different from the kitchen; in fact, there are many overlaps in the measurement system.
- The structure of the standard cabinets (base, upper, tall) is entirely identical to the kitchen’s, and there is no separate measurement system page for their settings.
- The bathroom database does not include corner cabinets or end cabinets; these can be inserted from the kitchen.
- Accessories (sinks, bathtubs, faucets, etc.) are not specific items. We tried to include characteristic pieces of various basic styles. Most of these can be freely resized and recolored.
Let's take advantage of attachment possibilities! Most of the time, we can attach new things to the attached elements!
Coloring! Accessories (sinks, bathtubs, faucets, items, etc.) can all be recolored by changing the Accessory colours.
Of the furniture, only the sink cabinet structure differs from the usual.
Two types of sink cabinets can be used: one with a front panel (blende) and one without a front panel.
Sink cabinet with blende
Applicable for built-in sinks.
- Its height matches the normal base cabinet, but its depth can be adjusted separately, so it can differ from the standard cabinets.
- The cabinet does not include the front panel by default; it needs to be attached because it can vary depending on the sink used.
- The surface of the cut-out front panels is simple, homogeneous, slightly rounded, regardless of the front pattern, but with the front color.
- Drawer fronts or front-patterned blendes can also be attached, but these do not have cut-outs.
For cabinets with uneven front layouts, the size of the end part can be set in the measurement system or changed after furnishing by modifying the division plane. (Sink Cabinet Horizontal Division)
The dimensioned sectional drawing of the sink cabinet can be found in the size system.
Sink cabinet without blende
Applicable for countertop sinks. Unlike the one with a blende, it has a solid top panel, and its height is smaller. (Low Base Height)
Design elements
Boards of adjustable thickness that can be attached to sinks and standard elements. These can create a thick-framed effect. The height of the bottom part of the leg is also adjustable. (Design Element Thickness, Design Leg Height) They can be used in corpus and front matching colors. The end of the leg is of accessory color. There are also freely sizable accessory-colored boards in special colors, metals, glass, etc.
Tiles
For most tiles, the grout color can also be adjusted with the accessory color, but not for all. For these, there are two surfaces 1 mm apart. The top one has the tile texture, but the grout is transparent. This can be done with a PNG image file, but only with external programs (Photoshop, Photopaint). The lower surface is of accessory color, seen through as grout. This double plane can only be solved with an object, and neither the wall nor the floor counts as one. Non-adjustable grout tiles can be placed on these by default; they have no transparent part. If we place one of these anyway, the background will show through, which is white during furnishing but black in the photorealistic image. If we put traditional tile surface on the wall, all will be visible. However, we can also place such on the floor. Found in the Accessories / Miscellaneous group. This allows placing tiles with adjustable grout on the floor, and creating patterns from multiple different tiles using unique tile colors.
Mirrors
When using mirrors, special attention is needed in photorealistic rendering. The room walls disappear from the back view so we can always see inside. This is fine, but if we look into the mirror, the black background will appear. This is very unnatural, looking more like a hole than a mirror! To avoid this, either view the mirror from the side so the side wall shows in it or place a large extra wall made from a wall or tile block opposite the mirror. It is also important that this wall receives proper lighting. Ideally, the part seen in the mirror should be lighter or darker than the wall beside the mirror to distinguish it well.
Bathtubs
The width and depth dimensions of bathtubs are adjustable, except for those with massage jets. The pedestal can always be attached to the bathtub, except for platform solutions where there is no attachment. The basic colors of bathtubs and sinks are set with the 1st accessory color, while the metal parts (drain, jets) are set with the 2nd Accessory colour.
In platform solutions, the bathtub, or rather the center of the cut-out, is adjusted with the division planes, and the size of the cut-out is set in the measurement system. (Bathtub Cut-out Length, Bathtub Cut-out Width)
Modern sanitary ware, furniture, and accessories are available in the new Bathroom catalog.
