With layers, you can organize points into different groups, helping you better navigate the numerous points during the design process.
It's advisable to use layers when the object is too complex. Since layers can be turned off, navigation becomes easier. Frequently repeated elements can also be saved as layers and inserted into multiple objects.
- Points and surfaces can be created independently on layers.
- Layers can be copied, pasted, saved, and loaded completely.
- Layers cannot be mixed, meaning a surface can only use points from the same layer. At least one layer must always exist; the last one cannot be deleted.

The three icons in the framed section allow you to set what appears in the drawing:
- The top icon shows only the current layer.
- The middle icon shows the non-current layers in gray.
- The bottom icon shows all layers simultaneously.
- Even in this mode, only the points and surfaces on the current layer can be selected.
You can select layers either using the buttons below the icons or from the list.
These buttons are necessary to switch between layers even if this window is not open.
